Soccer Shoes Sale – How To Choose The Best Soccer Shoes

Category: SoccerNicole Shoelle @ 3:18 pm

The FIFA 2010 world cup is fast approaching. Whenever this prestigious event comes around every four years there is an increase in the number of us who develop an interest in taking part in the sport. Football, or soccer as it’s called in the US, has been the world’s most watched and played sport for the best part of one hundred years. It is now popular in every nation of the world. If you or your son or daughter wants to take up the game then you will need to find the right kit; for example choosing the best soccer shoes are vital to perform well.

It is essential to understand that there is a big variation between soccer shoes. We are lucky enough to have hundreds of options today when shopping for any form of sporting kit or equipment.

By searching online you will quickly come across a number of different retailers that stock the latest sporting equipment and kit. Whatever your age you can find a pair of soccer shoes online which are stylish and practical.

The actual playing surface will be the main factor in determining which actual pair of best soccer shoes to buy. In Europe the games are still mostly held outside. If you are also going to play on a natural grassy surface then you should choose those trainers which feature a dozen or so studs on the base. This will help to give you essential grip; soccer is a fast game, if you were not to have studs on your shoes then you will end up sliding all over the place and may even damage your body.

Playing soccer indoors on artificial surfaces such as astro turf will require an altogether different design of shoe. The surfaces indoors are not slippery as when playing on grass, for this reason you do not need shoes with studs.

When it comes to actually choosing the brand, we can pick between all the major manufacturers of sporting goods. Usually the most famous players will have a tie up and sponsorship with specific companies.

Nike and Adidas are still the most common sight on the feet of players from the world’s top teams. A good choice of best soccer shoes is the Adidas Predator; this is a slightly heavy option that is great for players who need to strike the ball hard, it’s no surprise to see the Predator being worn by Liverpool’s captain Steven Gerrard. For a lighter quicker option then go for one of the latest Nike designs.

If you would like to to find out more about the best soccer shoes you can click and visit to see where to get the best deal for best indoor soccer shoes and save money.

Live Soccer Matches Online

Category: SoccerLawrence Fader @ 11:27 am

In the past, sport fans were wondering if they could watch their favorite live global matches in affordable rate and convenient ways. Technology development has answered the question. Watching your favorite matches from computer, for free, is now possible for everyone.

The P2P programs released on Internet have all the advantages. You can download any of the eight available in the current time and start watching your favorite live matches. Remember, they are free.

These p2p programs all work in relatively the same way, firstly you install the freeware program onto your computer. Within each program is a channel list, when the channel you want to watch is clicked on it will launch in the player.

The channels actually originate from people sharing their TV signal, so if you had a TV card installed on your computer you could also share your channels with everyone else. Most of the streaming football or other major sports will have volunteers who will agree to share their TV stations for each and every live match.

Sharing signals also has other big benefits: each can get better signal quality. The more people who watch the same channels, the stronger the signals will be and thus everyone gets the advantage of watching their favorite matches without disturbance.

If you are looking for P2P programs information, maybe you will mostly read about Sopcast and TVU. Both are the most popular P2P programs in the moment as they have thousands of channels to choose and higher security level in terms of spy ware. All popular sport channels worldwide can be accessed with the programs.

According to statistics Sopcast has been downloaded by over 2 million people and hundreds of thousands of people could watch the bigger games. PPlive used to be the most popular but now will only broadcast in China.

Once you have P2P programs, think of watching all live matches of English and European popular football leagues such as Champions League, International football, Russian football leagues, and the Chinese Ultra League. The list is countless, not yet to say other popular sports’ live matches. Whether you are a fan of tennis, boxing, hockey, cricket, golf, etc, watching the live matches for free is just possible.

Sport fans, you just need a computer set and Internet connection to access the live matches throughout the world. Watch from anywhere you are comfortable with. Again, it’s free!

Burnley Wins First English Premier League Game By Knocking Off The Champs

Category: SoccerRoss Everett @ 1:16 pm

The English Premier League season is only a couple of weeks old, but newly promoted Burnley has already pulled off what may be the biggest upset of the season in all of European soccer. In their first home game at the top level of English soccer in 33 years, Robbie Blake scored early in the game and Burnley held on to upset reigning league champions Manchester United before 20,000 jubilant fans at their Turf Moor home pitch.

The Clarets were putting good pressure on Man U goaltender Ben Foster early in the game, and Blake made their effort pay at the 18 minute mark when he scored on a near post volley. That was the only score of the game, despite the best efforts of the visitors who seemingly awoke from their slumber at this point and began to put the pressure on the Burnley upstarts.

Still, Burnley would hold the advantage on the big scoreboard at the end of the game thanks to the steady play of their netminder Brian Jensen who withstood the Man U onslaught to preserve the historic victory. Afterwards, Burnley manager Owen Coyle commended Man U general Sir Alex Ferguson with his graciousness in defeat:

\”Sir Alex dealt with defeat in the gracious manner I would expect of someone like that. He is the best manager in world football and I still expect Manchester United to be champions.\”

Burnley has been the favorite to be relegated back to the Champions League, and they looked like they didnt belong after a 2-0 opening game loss to Stoke City. Coyle addressed the teams critics in his postgame comments:

\”One or two have already written us off. I am not surprised about that. When you look at the financial side, we will have to produce every week. Outside this club, everybody looked at our first five games and expected we would be on zero points. We were disappointed on Saturday and we needed to be brave this time. Now we have a massive game on Sunday against Everton, although whatever happens we are three points better off than we were at this stage in the Championship last season.\”

Sir Alex Ferguson conceded that his team didnt play well:

\”It was a bad performance considering the chances and possession we had. Maybe if we had got the penalty just before half time it would have made a difference but in saying that we were too frivolous with the chances we had. It has been a long time out of the top flight for them and you cannot deny them their victory.\”

Burnley will host Everton this weekend and Manchester United will hit the road to face Wigan at DW Stadium.

Manchester United Wins First Leg on Champions League Shootout With AC Milan

Category: SoccerRoss Everett @ 2:47 pm

Manchester United is in good shape to advance to the Champions League soccer quarterfinals following a 3-2 win over AC Milan at the San Siro. The competition itself was overshadowed by the fact that it was the first time that David Beckham had played against his old team since leaving Old Trafford in 2003, and Wayne Rooney squashed Milan\’s early hopes with two goals to put the game on ice. Clarance Seedorf scored at the 85 minute mark to make the score respectable, but Man U controlled play after the halftime break. Now even a draw on their home field will allow Man U to advance.

AC Milan got on the board first just three minutes into the game as Beckham set up Ronaldinho\’s goal that sent the San Siro into a frenzy. Paul Scholes evened the score at the 36 minute mark and the teams went into the halftime break tied at 1-1. Rooney would net his first goal at the 66 minute mark and would score again just 8 minutes later to give Man U a 3-1 lead.

The 24 year old Rooney is becoming recognized as one of the best strikers in soccer. He\’s now got 25 goals on the year with 19 games left to play. He\’s also received high marks from the soccer press for his playmaking, heady play and overall attitude. The consensus is that he\’s already one of the best in the world and is only getting better.

After the game, Beckham complimented Rooney on his play and suggested that he receive consideration for the World Player of the Year award:

\”I hope he is a contender for the World Player of the Year and the Ballon D\’Or. I would love to see him win every title possible. I have seen Wayne from being a young lad. I played in his debut for England and I have watched him score goals week in and week out ever since. It is amazing to see.\’\’

\”He looks after himself and works hard. The way he plays is the way he trains. That is why he is so good and why Wayne is ready for any game. It doesn\’t matter how many games he has played or how many he will be involved in to the end of the season, he will be ready for anything.\’\’

There\’s a good chance that Beckham and Rooney will be teammates on England\’s World Cup team this summer. Beckham made note of that fact:

\”I wouldn\’t want to see him do it again against us in a few weeks but of course I\’d like it in the World Cup.\”

Rooney\’s sizzling play and Beckham\’s veteran leadership and dominant free kicks are a big reason why England is among the World Cup betting favorites before the team has even been made official. England will start World Cup play on June 12 against the United States.

Lyon Nips Real Madrid In Champions League Play

Category: SoccerRoss Everett @ 1:55 pm

Jean Makoun scored early in the second half to give Lyon a hard fought 1-0 victory in the first leg of their round of 16 Champions League matchup against Real Madrid. The Spanish champions lost for the third straight time on Lyon\’s Stade Gerland home field and will now have an uphill battle when the teams meet at Bernabeu to advance to the next round. With the Champions League final slated to be held in their stadium, an exit this early in the competition would be nothing short of an embarrassment for Real Madrid.

Lyon controlled the play in the first half and held a decisive possession advantage. Unfortunately, they didn\’t get many accurate scoring chances with a number of them going wide or high of the net. Despite Lyon\’s time of possession advantage in the first half, Madrid actually got the best scoring chances in the first half. Following Makoun\’s goal just 2 minutes from the start of the second half, Madrid controlled play but could not score the equalizer. For the game, Madrid held a 66% to 34% time of possession advantage.

Real Madrid has won the Champions League title 10 times, but now must rally from this 1-0 deficit when play resumes on their home field in May. Despite their tradition of success, Madrid hasn\’t made it past the round of 16 for six straight years. Cristiano Ronaldo isn\’t particularly worried heading into the home half of the matchup:

\”In football anything is possible. We\’ve lost here but we have a game at home in which we can repeat what they did here. I\’m calm. In this competition you have to suffer. I\’m sure that we will give a good answer in the return game and that we will win. The Bernabeu will help us. We will have to give to give it everything from the first minute until the last. The tie is not lost.\”

Madrid General Director Jorge Valdano added:

\”It\’s been a bad night in general, especially the result. We had ups and downs during the match, but at no moment were we ourselves. The result means we have to really concentrate at the Bernabeu. Lyon barely stepped out of their half in the final minutes, but they made things very difficult for us for a long time, especially in midfield.\”

Real Madrid will have to do without a couple of starters in the rematch. Marcelo and Xabi Alonso are suspending for the May contest due to bookings in previous contests. The team isn\’t particularly concerned due to their deep and talented roster.

Mexico Tops The United States In World Cup Soccer Qualifying

Category: SoccerRoss Everett @ 3:28 pm

An early goal gave the United States soccer team hope, but in the end the result of their World Cup Qualifier against Mexico at Azteca Stadium was a familiar loss. Mexico rallied for a 2-1 triumph in front of their home fans, sending the US to defeat for the 23rd time in 24 games at the venue. The US soccer record at the 105,000 seat venue is 0-23-1 with the best result the US has been able to muster on Mexican soil was a 0-0 draw in 1997.

The United States quickly silenced the raucous crowd of 100,000+ with a goal by Charlie Davies just eight minutes into the game. It was the first time in history that the US soccer team led a match at Azteca Stadium.

Mexico would pull even just ten minutes later when Cuauhtemoc Blanco set up Israel Castro, who beat US goaltender Tim Howard with a blistering shot off the crossbar. That set the stage for Miguel Sabah\’s goal in the 82nd minute which gave Mexico the come-from-behind victory. Mexico coach Javier Aguirre sounded simultaneously elated and relived with his post match comments:

\”Today is a day to celebrate, drink a few tequilas, and then get back to work. Everybody will go to bed tonight a bit more relaxed.\”

US Coach Bob Bradley was philosophical about the loss:

\”I think it\’s a tight game and a fair score. It\’s tough loss to have so many guys work so hard and then give up a late goal. The feeling inside is one of great disappointment.\”

US forward Landon Donovan spoke of his teams performance and the difficulty in playing at the high altitude:

\”We did a good job starting the game well and scoring. They made one play at the end that made the difference. It\’s hard to play here, man. It wears you out. It\’s just exhausting.\”

The Americans play Sept. 9 at Trinidad and Tobago. Theyll finish up qualifying on Oct 10 at Honduras and at home against Costa Rica on Oct. 14. Mexico will play at Costa Rica on Sept. 5 and host Honduras on Sept. 9. Mexico will wrap up qualifying on Oct. 10 at home with El Salvador and at Trinidad and Tobago on Oct. 14.

The Best Soccer Players In Spain Are…

Category: SoccerMark Walters @ 7:35 pm

There are lots of of soccer superstars playing in Spain\’s top division, and it is with good reason that it is regarded as the number one domestic league in the whole world. Listed below are the players who are widely regarded as being the best in Spain…

Kaka : Brazilian midfielder Kaka, is a playmaker of the highest calibre. Able to thread a pass through the eye of a needle, or dribble past players to create a chance or score a goal, Kaka was the jewel of the AC Milan team and helped drive them to \”Champions League\” success in 2007. Now one Real Madrids so called \”Galaticos\”, he aims to repeat the success he enjoyed with the Rossoneri in Italy and fire his new team to title glory.

Messi : Spearheading Barcelona\’s unique treble winning team of 2008-09, Argentinean Lionel Messi continually dazzles Europe with his creativity and flair for goals. Even though he is just 22, he is FIFA\’s current \”World Player of the Year\” and, if he remains injury free, he well on the way to acquiring the legendary status of all time great Pele and Maradona.

Cristiano Ronaldo : Blistering pace and explosive power are the qualities that first alerted veteran manager Alex Ferguson to Cristiano Ronaldo\’s outstanding talent. He started his soccer career as a winger, but soccer genius Ferguson soon realized that young Ronaldo\’s skills were best exploited in a more central role. Ferguson\’s decision was validated when Ronaldo netted over 40 premier league goals in the 2007 / 08 season. Now playing for the mighty Real Madrid, Ronaldo is hoping to make as big an impact for el Madrid as he did in the famous red shirt of Man Utd.

David Villa : Playing for Valencia, who are not one of the most glamorous teams in the league, David Villa Sanchez (to give him his full name) boasts an outstanding goals to games ratio. He was the winner of the \”Golden Boot\” for Spain at Euro 2008 (which means that he scored more goals at the tournament than anyone else) and is expected in the near future to become Spain\’s all time highest goal scorer. Equally dangerous with either foot, Villa has attracted a host of top clubs, who are all eager to land this prolific striker\’s elusive signature.
