The Student Loan Situation In Germany

Category: LoansAndrew M. Nicola @ 10:26 pm

Since early 2005, when new rules regarding the tuition fees were set by the Constitutional Court, alternative loan schemes in Germany have been developed. Until that time some banks had already presented plans for student loans (German: Studentenkredite). Long after the DKB (Deutsche Kredit Bank) had implemented the first academic credit supply together with Career Concept, the world’s first provider of educational funds, in October 2005 also the Deutsche Bank began to offer student loans. Meanwhile, there are several offers from other private and public banks, including the KfW.

The “dbStudentenKredit” of the Deutsche Bank is free for all students at German universities or colleges, regardless of their particular study topic. The age limit is 30 years. As a further requirement for the grant of a “dbStudentenKredit” the credit institute needs a complete study plan. All lectures that a student wants to take should be listed up and future career plans need to be described. Furthermore, the bank wants to have information about the creditworthiness of the students from the Schufa book that contains the financial information of all German citizens. These two categories of information provide the bank with the necessary security.

During the 1st and 2nd Semester one can get up to 200 Euros a month for living expenses and education fees. At a further stage the maximum amount of money is 800 Euros monthly. The rate of interest changes from time to time. After a student has finished studying the sum that has to be paid back is fixed by a new contract. During the first year after going off from university no repayments need to be made. The students have 12 years to reimburse the loan (Studentenkredit). Surely it is also possible to repay the total amount of money in one go.

The Kreditanstalt fuer Wiederaufbau (Credit Institute for Reconstruction), was founded after the 2nd World War with the aim to support the rebuilding of the German country. Since April 2006, the KfW development bank also offers a study loan for all students during their first degree.

The KfW Student Loan (Studentenkredite) does not call for many background information, but it is not approved in the case of a private bankruptcy. Furthermore it is free for all German students (also EU foreigners) and for all state-recognized universities. The only conditions are that the applicant has not yet ended his studies and not yet reached an age of 31.

Third Party Lab Discloses Juice Hype

Category: Business and IndustryJessica Anderson @ 12:18 am

We are putting the exotic juices on the market to the test. We hired Brunswick Laps, who is a well known independent laboratory to do the tests on all of these exotic juices on the market.

It seems like there are hundreds of companies trying to market the latest magic juice. These juices, many of which are sourced from obscure locations in the Pacific, Asia, or the Amazon often come with alluring tales of miracle cures and healing properties. With few exceptions, these juices claim to be the most powerful antioxidants available. Some claim to have antioxidant super power. So we decided to put these so-called magic juices to the test. We asked Brunswick Labs, a well known independent laboratory, to conduct scientific tests on the magic juices.

We even added Welches Grape juice to the test. Before we get down to business lets first look into some of the crazy claims these popular juices make:

MonaVie claims that the acai berry used in their juice is one of the worlds top super foods and is rich in antioxidants. Theres a big difference, however, in the level of antioxidants found in the acai berry and the lesser amount actually shown in a serving of their juice.

Kyani who claims to use berries from Alaska refers to their juice as super powerful. Another company, Xango claims their mangosteen is a super duper antioxidant. Freelife says if you drink their GoChi juice then you can be sure of protecting yourself.

Looking at the FRAP tests, grape juice had more antioxidants per serving than all but two of the magic juices.

Here are the results from the ORAC and FRAP tests: The first score is the ORAC score followed by the FRAP. Welchs Grape Juice scored 2734 and 245, while Mona Vie came in at 2220 and 1572. Pharmanexs G3 product reported 1658 and 2648 and Xango scored one of the lowest at 947 and 761. FreeLifes Gochi 888 and 641 with Kyani Sunrise scored a 769 in ORAC and a 1271. Exfuze, who uses extracts from fruits around the world, had one of the lowest scores at 400 and 174.

What does all of this mean? The dollar that you are spending would be better invested with buying grape juice at $.50 for 8 ounces compared to $4.60 of Mona Vie. Both the ORAC and FRAP tests show that the grape juice provides more protection against free radicals then Mana Vies acai juice.

A business opportunity can only be as good as the product that they sell. If you do not have a product that is truly proven then you are selling nothing but a pyramid. It is this reason why there is so much attrition in the MLM industry. Without a proven product it will not last and they must open up new countries to constantly keep the flow going

If the exotic juices are not a good source for antioxidants but their raw fruits are what should you do? Eat them right from the source would be great if you could. One company Yoli has found out a way to freeze dry the nutrients and put them into a blast cap. Thus, you never have to worry about the nutrients dying in water. Not to mention there is no pasteurization used. You place the blast cap on top of a bottle and simply press and presto.

These blast caps cost significantly less too. They have way more active ingredients too. Any company who has nutrients sitting in water must preserve them somehow and is often toxic when they do. The bottom line is nutrients do not survive after being boiled or sit in water for a long period of time.
